The Brothers Islands — Red Sea Liveaboard Diving

Remote. Wild. Legendary shark encounters in the heart of the Egyptian Red Sea.

About The Brothers Islands

Known in Arabic as El Akhawein, The Brothers are two small, remote islands rising from the central Red Sea, roughly 60km offshore. Designated as a protected marine reserve, they remain untouched by mass tourism — accessible only by liveaboard. Big Brother and Little Brother each offer a completely different diving experience, yet both deliver world-class encounters in open, current-swept waters.

Key Dive Sites

🚢 Big Brother

Home to two historic shipwrecks — the Aida and the Numidia — draped in coral and teeming with marine life. Spectacular vertical walls plunge into the blue alongside the wrecks, making Big Brother a double-feature dive destination unlike any other.

🦈 Little Brother

The shark capital of the Brothers. Strong currents attract hammerheads, oceanic whitetips, thresher sharks, and silky sharks. Drift along the wall and let the ocean bring the show to you — Little Brother reliably delivers some of the most dramatic shark encounters in the Red Sea.
