Shark Reef & Yolanda Reef
This famous double pinnacle is the signature dive of Ras Mohammed National Park. You drift along the sheer wall of Shark Reef, festooned with soft corals and gorgonians, before crossing a saddle to Yolanda Reef where the reef slope is littered with the cargo of the Yolanda wreck.
The Yolanda wreck itself has largely slipped into deep water, but its scattered payload of toilet bowls, bathtubs, and bathroom fittings remains — an unforgettable and surreal underwater scene you will tell stories about for years.
Anemone City
A sloping plateau carpeted with hundreds of anemones and their resident clownfish, Anemone City is a Red Sea diving classic. The dive often continues over the wall, where schooling fish gather in the blue and reef sharks patrol the drop-off.

Named after the towering limestone cliffs that overlook the site from shore, Shark Observatory features dramatic ledges, overhangs, and vertical walls. Best Season
Ras Mohammed National Park can be dived year-round. The most comfortable and rewarding periods are March to May and September to November, when water temperatures are pleasant, visibility is excellent, and pelagic activity is at its peak. Summer months bring very warm water and long days, while winter offers crisp visibility and fewer boats.
Visibility & Water Temperature
Expect 20–40 metre visibility on most dives, occasionally more in the cooler months. Water temperatures generally range from 22–28°C, with the coolest conditions in January–March and the warmest in late summer.
Currents & Experience Level
Currents at Ras Mohammed can be moderate to strong, particularly around headlands and exposed walls such as Shark Reef, Yolanda Reef, and Shark Observatory. These currents are what make the marine life so abundant, but they also demand good buoyancy control and situational awareness.
